Ayurveda Traditional Home in South Africa

A large presence of Indians in the country made Ayurveda popular. The Nelson Mandela School of Medicine offers Ayurveda Courses with the help of the Natal University and has an Ayurveda faculty at the University. The university started Ayurvedic Practitioners course for 1year with lectures conducted 2 hours per week. South Africa today allows the importing of Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurveda practice is also recognized and has representation on different Boards of the South African Ayurveda Liaison Committee and African Allied Health Professional Act.
