The 3 Deluxe Suites face either the Valley or the Maharaja’s palace. These 2-bay suites feature tastefully appointed bedrooms with attached sitting rooms and large bathrooms with tranquil garden views. Secluded private gardens with tented situated to overlook the valley, add to the charm and privacy of these suites.

Housed on the ground floor and overlooking the valley, the 3-bay Ananda Suite spells luxury and enchantment. With luxuriously fitted bathrooms overlooking the view and its own private sitting and dining areas, the suite also has a large private garden, which is perfect for intimate dinners and leisurely breakfasts.

In the precincts of the Maharaja’s Palace, The Viceregal suite is a perfect retreat for the connoisseur. It comprises of a spacious sitting and dining area and a plush bedroom featuring a period four-poster bed. The attached dressing room and bathroom are beautifully appointed with antique fittings and furniture. With its own private terrace and a roof top Jacuzzi overlooking the sloping landscaped gardens and the distant Ganges Valley, staying at the Viceregal suite takes you back into India’s regal past.

2-bedroom villas and one 1-bedroom villa, each elegantly appointed with a living room, a pantry for the butler, a dressing room and a huge bathroom featuring a private sauna with an unhampered view of the swimming pool.

With palace and valley views, these deluxe rooms are understated yet luxurious. 70 in all, they feature walk-in closets and perfectly appointed bathrooms with windows overlooking panoramic views of the valley or of the Palace. Each room opens onto large balconies with picture-perfect views, ideal for a private meal.

Ananda in the Himalayas should not be looked at just as a place to diet and lose weight, but should instead be “a way of life”. Our cuisine is fresh natural foods low in fat and calories with an emphasis on whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, low-fat dairy products, and the avoidance of added or artificial salts, colors, flavors, or preservatives.

The objective is to provide a rejuvenation cuisine for guests, who, whilst relaxing, desire to re-vitalize their body and soul through a healthy approach to diet and lifestyle. This is reemphasized by the show kitchen at Ananda where our chefs instruct in how to make these dishes at home so that one may continue that ‘way of life’. Special care menus are provided in consultation with the in house Ayurvedic doctor, to align the specific imbalances of the various body types.

Everybody requires a customized diet. One type is not good for all, and standard diets such as high-crab, high protein or low-cal is simply not healthy choices for everyone. Ananda’s food concept is based on this belief and through incorporating key principles from Ayurveda.

The ambience in the Restaurant is in complete harmony with the prolific use of Yantric Art. Enjoy a delicious meal while your aural senses are treated to the lilting strains of classical instrumental music. The spa’s signature restaurant features the finest Indian, Asian and Western cuisine. Based on the basic values of traditional cooking, the Restaurant explores new vistas in modern gastronomy, with emphasis on a light and healthy meal.

The Restaurant offers a menu for better living with meals enriched with the vivid flavour of organic vegetables and herbs. It is built in a grove of old Sal trees, overlooking the valley of Rishikesh. The light warmth of the early morning sun or the evening stars adds to the Rejuvenation Cuisine.
