Dr. G. Gopakumar, a first rank holder in BAMS, has two post graduate degrees, in Kayachikitsa (General Medicine) and Roganidana (Pathology). At present, he is working as an Associate Professor in Dept of Roganidana at Govt Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram; he is also the RMO in Govt Ayurveda College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. He has received awards such as the Best Ayurveda Teacher by CCRAS, Dept. of AYUSH, Govt of India, Best Ayurveda Teacher award by the Kerala state government and Bhikhak Pratibha Award in 2017 for contributions in Ayurvedic education and treatment. He has published several books on Ayurveda and writes for various journals. He is the associate editor of Management of Common Health Ailments After Disasters, published by Foundation for Community Support and Development, Kolkata.
