What is Wheezing?
Wheezing is a very common respiratory problem. The respiratory tube or the breathing airway is blocked and narrowed down due to mucus or some other foreign object. Wheezing is generally a symptom of coughs, chest infections and asthma. It is a whistling sound made by the obstructed and tight airway openings in your lungs struggling to let oxygen pass easily in and out. People suffering from wheezing may be seen often trying to breathe faster to exhale and inhale air. While the mild episodes of wheezing can be cured at home, it may lead to a chronic condition that needs proper medical intervention. The key to ending wheezing is to loosen the airways so that air can move freely in and out.
